Kerala has recorded 5,643 positive cases today, a dip from the 6,250 of yesterday. Meanwhile, recoveries have increased from yesterday’s 5,275 to 5,861. The authorities had conducted 49,775 tests in the last 24 hours as compared to 63,983 from yesterday. However, despite the decreased testing, the Test Positivity Rate has increased to 11.34%.
Kozhikode takes the top spot with 851 cases, followed by Malappuram with 721, and Thrissur and Ernakulam with 525 and 512 respectively. Everyone else has stayed below the 500-mark. With 27 deaths, the total tally now reaches 2,223 and the active cases stand at 64,589.
