An official meeting will be held at 4:30 pm today to resolve the PSC rank holders' strike in front of the Secretariat. Home Secretary and ADGP Manoj Abraham will also take part in the discussion with the protesters. Three members each from the LGS and CPO sections have been invited for the discussion.

Earlier the day, a government official has arrived with a letter addressing a PSC candidate who is protesting in front of the Secretariat. Laya Rajesh, the representative of Last Grade Servant Rank holders, said that a government official arrived with a letter, but it was not in her name. She further said that the content of the letter is not clear, but hopes that it will be an invitation from the government for talks.

According to reports, the CPM Secretariat had directed the government to hold discussions with the PSC candidates who are staging a protest in front of the Secretariat.

Meanwhile, CPM Acting Secretary A Vijayaraghavan said that the strike of PSC candidates in front of the Secretariat is a struggle to recruit people from an expired list. He further said that the struggle is for illegal things. He added that those who started the protest must end it themselves.

While addressing media persons, he said that UDF would suffer their biggest defeat in history soon.

On the other day, PSC candidates have conducted a protest by selling fish in front of the Secretariat. USF convener MM Hassan visited them and even joined the protesters. He even bought fish from the protesters. The agitating candidates demanded that the Governor should intervene in the issue.
