Donald Trump Jr has joined a long list of White House aides to test positive for the Coronavirus. The US President’s eldest son tested positive at the start of the week, according to his spokesperson. “Trump Jr tested positive at the start of the week and is asymptomatic. He has been in isolation since his results came out and is following all recommended Covid-19 guidelines,” said his spokesperson.

Trump Jr joins his father President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and the President’s youngest son Barron Trump to test positive for the virus.

Earlier, several White House aides, staffers as well as several Secret Service agents have tested positive for Coronavirus. On Friday, Andrew Giuliani, White House aide and son of Rudy Giuliani, announced that he tested positive for Covid-19. Several aides of Vice-President Mike Pence including aide Hannah MacInnis and Pence’s press secretary and his chief of staff. Pence himself hasn’t tested positive yet.

The Trump administration has been severely criticized for their handling of the Coronavirus. New daily cases in the US are approaching 200,000. Currently, the US has surpassed 12.2 million cases with more than 260,000 deaths. Meanwhile, President-elect Joe Biden has severely criticized the Trump administration for not cooperating with Biden transition team for smooth Whit House transition. Biden said that if the Trump administration refuses to cooperate to fight the pandemic, more people could end up dying from the deadly virus.
