As a New Year gift, the UAE government has decided to extend tourist visas for all nationalities for one additional month for free. Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and rulers of Dubai have made this one-month exemption.
The announcement came as a big relief for visitors waiting to leave the country as now they can leave the country without paying a fine.
The move comes in wake of temporary airport closures and entry restrictions around the world, which has made it difficult for foreigners to return to their home countries.
Tourists can now stay in the country for another month without paying any government fees. The new decision will help the tourists to celebrate New Year with their families in the country.
In consideration of the ongoing global circumstances, all government departments have been instructed to facilitate measures for all UAE tourists and visitors and to cooperate with all concerned authorities to ensure the safety of all UAE’s visitors.
Similarly, on August 10, the UAE had announced a grace period for expired visit visas.
