Police have arrested six persons connected to the robbery at Muthoot Finance branch in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri. The officers reportedly apprehended the gang from Hyderabad. The incident that shook the state happened at a Muthoot Finance branch at Hosur, where a five-member armed group robbed gold worth nearly Rs 7.5 Crore and Rs 96,000 on Friday.

The investigation team arrested the accused and recovered the weapons used for the theft. According to reports, the investigation team had earlier received information that the accused had crossed the state border. The police have also recovered the stolen gold — around 25 kg.

On Friday, the men — wore helmets to hide their identity — entered the office at around 9:30 in the morning. According to police, the gang first beat up the security guard and then took him along with them to the office. Then they attacked the office manager and four other staff members at gunpoint.
